We manufacture 6 models of motion sensor solar street lights across 2 series at our Fujian factory. These are not the same product as our constant-brightness solar street lights (BF-SSL-20 Series/W021/W022). The difference is the motion sensor that controls brightness based on human presence.
The operating principle: the light runs at 30% brightness when nobody is around, then ramps to 100% when the motion sensor detects human presence. After the person or vehicle leaves the detection zone, the light holds full output for 15-30 seconds before stepping back down. This 30/100 duty cycle saves 40-60% battery compared to running at constant brightness all night — which means we can use smaller solar panels and smaller batteries while delivering the same peak lumens.
Our 10-25W range covers residential pathways, community perimeter roads, low-traffic rural roads, and parking lot edges. Two design styles: the BF-MSS-23 Series (compact body, separate panel/light sections) and BF-MSS-24 Series (ultra-slim integrated profile). Both use LiFePO4 batteries, 5054 LED chips, and the same Light+Time+Motion Sensor control logic.

The motion sensor model achieves the same 3,800 LM peak output with a 38% smaller solar panel (40W vs 65W) and a 20% smaller battery (192Wh vs 240Wh). We designed the motion sensor model with a smaller battery because the engineering math supports it: the light spends most of the night at 30% output, so the average energy demand drops dramatically. This allows a smaller power system without sacrificing peak performance.
